Man and woman in police custody over guns and drug find in Co Down

POLICE officers seized a large quantity of Methedrone, three guns and ammunition during a search in County Down.

The discovery was made the discovery during a planned search of a house in Summerhill, Banbridge.

A 47-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman have been arrested for questioning.

Police said they were being quizzed about possession of firearms and ammunition in suspicious circumstances and possession of drugs and possession of the drugs with intent to supply.
