Police appeal after a woma in her 90s is knocked down by car in Bangor, Co Down

A POLICE investigation is under way after a woman in her 90s died after being struck during a crash in Co Down.

She was walking on the Donaghadee Road in Bangor on Saturday afternoon when she was hit by a car.

The woman was taken to hospital but has tragically since died from her injuries.

The road has been closed at its junctions with Windmill Road and Thornleigh.
