Police at scene of house fire in Upper Lisburn Road, south Belfast

BREAKING NEWS….The Upper Lisburn Road is closed at Ormond Park on Wednesday lunchtime.

Firefighters are dealing with a fire at two houses and police are at the scene diverting traffic.

The blaze broke out in the Upper Lisburn Road area just after 11am on Wednesday.

It was well-developed when firefighters arrived at the scene.

Seven appliances, including an aerial ladder platform, are attending.

The road has been closed in both directions at its junction with Ormond Park.

Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said: “Fire crews are currently attending a fire in two domestic properties.

“The fire was well developed on arrival of crews. The incident is ongoing.”
