Police and water cannon in Carrickfergus during rioting in December

A MAN has been arrested by detectives from the PSNI’s Operation Dulcet team set up to probe Union flag protestS and resulting street violence.

The 25-year-old was detained on Tuesday in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim, on suspicion of intimidation and improper use of public electronic communications network.

He is currently in custody at the serious crime suite in Antrim assisting police with their enquiries.
