Police appeal after masked men rob shop in east Belfast

TWO shop assistants have been left badly shaken after they were threatened during an armed robbery in Belfast.

Three masked men, one of them armed with a crowbar-type weapon, went into the store around 7.40 am on Sunday in the Woodstock area and made threats to a man and woman working there.

The trio then stole a quantity of cigarettes, which they carried away in Bryson recycling boxes.

No-one was injured.

Police investigating the incident have asked anyone with further information to contact detectives at Musgrave PSNI station on 0845 600 8000.
