Police appeal over attempted armed car hijacking in west Belfast

DETECTIVES are hunting two masked men, one armed with a suspected gun, who attempted to hijack a car in west Belfast on Friday.

The hooded men tried to forced the male driver out of a white Renault Kangoo in the Norfolk Gardens area at around 9am.

The driver managed to drive off in his car and escaped uninjured.

Police have appealed for anyone with any information on this incident to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
