PSNI probe suspected deliberate boat fire in Antrim

POLICE believe a fire at the home of a family of four in Antrim may have been started deliberately.

The family escaped without injury after a boat parked at the front of their home caught fire in a suspicious overnight fire.

The blaze, in Craigshill, in the Ballycraigy Estate, broke out on Monday at 1.45 am.

The fire spread to a second boat and two front windows of the house were also cracked by the intensity of the flames.

Two adults and their two children were in the house at the time but managed to escape unharmed.

The PSNI  believe the fire may have been started deliberately and are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
