Police probe suspicious activity near children in north Belfast

POLICE at Tennent Street have urged parents to remain vigilant about their children’s safety over suspicious activity in north Belfast.

On Tuesday, the PSNI had two reported incidents relating to suspicious activity close to school children.

One was at Oldpark Avenue on Tuesday morning when a white van stopped close to a school boy.

The second incident happened in the afternoon on the Ballygomartin Road when a green car flashed it’s lights at school girls.

Said the PSNI: “None of these incidents involved actual child approaches but we would ask parents to be mindful of this and talk to their children about safety.”
