Fire crew bring woman to safety from burnig house in west Belfast

A woman was rescued by fire fighters from a house fire in west Belfast in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The blaze at the property in Brooke Drive in the Blacks Road area broke out shortly before 2 am.

Two men managed to escape but the woman was trapped at the window of a first floor bedroom.

The woman was brought to safety by a fire crew using a ladder.

The fire service said the cause of the blaze was not thought to be suspicious.
