Police seize £180k worth of cannabis plants in Co Down

DETECTIVES have smashed a cannabis growing factory in Co Down.

Officers seized £180,000 worth of the plants were uncovered in Ballynahinch, Co Down.

Detectives discoverd the cannabis factory following the search of a property in the Drumkeeragh Road area on Thursday.

“Police would also remind members of the public who own or rent property to check their premises regularly and contact police if they become aware of any suspicious or untoward activity,” a PSNI spokesperson said.

Police have appealed for anyone with information relating to the illegal operation to contact them.
