Detectives probe after man shot in west Belfast

DETECTIVES are investigating after a man, believed to be in his 20s, has been injured in a shooting incident in west Belfast.

The incident took place in the Beechview Park area at about 19:35 GMT on Wednesday.

The victim has been taken to hospital for treatment.

Detectives in west Belfast have appealed for anyone with information about the shooting to contact them.
