POLITICIANS, clergy and community workers are holding a meeting of the Unionist Forum in east Belfast on Friday afternoon.

UUP leader Mike Nesbitt, DUP MLA Robin Newton, Belfast’s Lord Mayor Gavin Robinson, UKIP MLA David McNarry, community worker Jim Wilson, and Rev Mervyn Gibson are attending the meeting at Westbourne Presbyterian Church.

Also attending is DUP Finance Minister Sammy Wilson who was heckled as he went into the meeting by people on the street outside the church.

Hecklers asked Mr Wilson: “Where is Peter Rrobinson?”

Progressive Unionist Party leader Billy Hutchinson has also turned up for the Unionist Forum discussions.

The meeting is a follow on from the Unionist Forum talks held on Friday at Stormont hosted by the UUP leader and DUP leader Peter Robinson.

The Stormont meeting set up a Task Force and eight working groups to engage with a wide range of unionist and community groups over issues affecting their areas.

On Thursday, Mike Nesbitt said he hoped the Task Force and working working groups hope to “hit the ground running” on Friday.
