A 24-
year-old man is to face a court on Saturday morning charged over an attempted robbery.
He was arrested following an attack on a petrol station on the O’Neill Road, Rathcoole, on Friday, January 6.
Around £10,000 worth of damage was caused in the attack.
Bottles and bricks were thrown at police with officer being hurt during the disturbance last Friday night.
The trouble which lasted several hours happened at O’Neill Road area. One person was arrested.
There was also reports of an attempt to hijack a bus.
The petrol station was broken into by several masked men, who damaged the property and stole a sum of money.
