Police probe man knocked down in south Belfast

POLICE are investigating after a second man was knocked on Northern Ireland’s roads on Wednesday.

A man in his 20s was hit by a car at The Cutts in Dunmurry, south Belfast at around 12.40pm.

The man was rushed to hospital where he is described as seriously ill.

Police have asked anyone with information to contact them on 0845 600 8000.

Hours earlier, an 88-year-old man died in hospital after he was knocked down in Downpatrick Street, Crossgar, Co Down around 10 am.
