Police probe west Belfast stabbing

DETECTIVES are appealing for information after a man has been stabbed in the face and neck in west Belfast.

The 30-year-old was attacked in Whiterock Drive at about 5 am on New Year’s Day.

The victim sustained serious stab wounds, however, they are not believed to be life threatening. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police said a man was seen making off in the direction of Whiterock Crescent after the assault.
