POLICE searches are ongoing to try and trace two men who have gone missing over the past week.

Alexander McKee, from Limavady, Co Derry, was last seen at the Causeway Hospital in Coleraine.

And Harry Warwick hasn’t been seen since leaving a nursing home in north Belfast on Wednesday, December 19.

Mr McKee, a 56-year-old man, went missing on Sunday and his family are appealing for anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward.

He is described as being around 6ft tall, and has thinning, greying ginger hair.

It is believed that he was wearing a dark jacket, dark polo shirt, blue jeans and dark trainers with a velcrose fastening.

Police are becoming increasingly concerned about his welfare and would like anyone with information to contact them immediately.

Meanwhile, over a week after going missing, police are still trying to trace missing nursing home pensioner Harry Warwick.

Mr Warwick went missing from Abington Manor Care Home on the Crumlin Road in north Belfast on Wednesday, December 19.

Around 100 people along with police officers and a PSNI helicopter joined the search for the pensioner without success.

The searches are being co-ordinated by Detective Chief Inspector Alan Little.

He said: “Our focus still remains on the north Belfast area and indeed, there are a number of searches ongoing today and further resources being drafted into the area to try and see if we can locate Harry.

“Obviously our concerns are for Harry’s wellbeing. We are extremely concerned given the length of time he has been missing from home.”

The detective appealed to anyone living in the north Belfast area to check garages, sheds, lock ups and any unoccupied premises, particularly in the Ligoniel and Ballysillan areas, for any signs of disturbance or habitation.

“Harry, when he was last seen, was wearing a dark green waxed three quarter length jacket. He had bottle green trousers [on], brown shoes and a V neck jumper,” he added.

He described the pensioner as slightly built and between 5ft 6in and 5ft 8in tall with receding grey hair.

Any sightings should be immediately reported to police at Tennant Street police station on 0845 600 8000.
