Police appeal over west Belfast assault

POLICE have appealed for information after a 38-year-old man sustained a serious head injury after being assaulted outside a bar in west Belfast.

It is believed the man was injured during an altercation outside a bar on the Glen Road on Saturday shortly after 11.30pm.

He was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast for treatment.
