Police probe car crash death in Newry

A 51-year-old man has died following a two vehicle collision in Newry, Co Down on Wednesday.

Police have named the victim as Paul Connolly from Jonesborough, south Armagh.

The crash between ared Nissan Micra car and a Renault van happened at around 9.20am on the Dublin Road.

Police are currently at the scene.

The road between Clough roundabout at the Forkhill Road and the border has been closed and diversions are in place.

The PSNI has appealed for any witnesses to the accident to come forward.
