FEMALE HOSPITAL WORKER HAS CAR HIJACKED AT RVH

Gang hijack woman’s car at RVH

POLICE are on the trail of a gang of men who hijacked a female hospital worker’s car in west Belfast.

The gang stole her car while she was opening a security gate at the Royal Victoria Hospital.

The theft happened at 6.50am this morning when the woman got out of her grey Vauxhall Meriva car to open the gate at the Grosvenor Road entrance to the hospital.

A man got into her car and drove off, stopping a short distance away to pick up two other men and then making off in the direction of the Falls Road.

The man who took the car is described as being in his mid to late 20s, about 5ft 10ins tall and of medium build, with short brown hair.

He was wearing a grey sweater with horizontal stripes and light coloured trousers.

One of the men picked up after the theft of the car is described as being in his mid-30s, about 5ft 7ins tall and of stocky build, with dark brown shaven hair.

He was wearing a white tracksuit with a dark coloured t-shirt underneath.

Police are appealing for anyone who noticed men matching the descriptions in the area on Friday morning to contact them at Grosvenor Road on 0845 600 8000.
