POLICE CRACKDOWN LEADS TO TEN ARRESTS OVER DRINK DRIVING AND BAIL BREACHES

A POLICE swoop yesterday netted ten arrests as the PSNI continues its crackdown on anti-social behaviour.

The arrests in D District were carried out by patrols for a range of offences including:

* making off without payment;

* assault;

* breach of bail;

* driving whilst under the influence of alcohol.

Arrests in the Antrim area related to burglary, breach of Anti Social Behaviour Order(ASBO) and domestic assault.

Chief Inspector Natalies Wilson also had a reminder for householders in the run up to the festive season.

“As Christmas approaches, please keep presents out of view both in your cars and in your homes to prevent thefts and burglaries,” she said.
