Roads Minister Danny Kennedy held up in traffic

ROADS MINISTER Danny Kennedy is late for question time at the Stormont Assembly….after he gets stuck in traffic!

The UUP MLA and former party deputy leader has been behind the controversial new bus lanes in Belfast which has caused fury among motorists and tailbacks at morning and evening rush hour.

DUP Speaker Willie Hay told told MLAs: “The Minister is delayed in traffic.”

One wag has tweeted: “The irony of it!”

However, Mr Kennedy finally turned up for question time only nine minutes late and apologised to the House for the slight delay caused by his return from murder prison officer David Black’s funeral.
