Police arrest a man in Belfast on suspicion of attempted child abduction

TERRIFIED staff were threatened with a broken bottle during a robbery in west Belfast in the early hours of yesterday morning.

A thief went into a fast food shop at Riverdale Park East in the Andersonstown area at about 12:50 am and used the smashed bottle to threaten staff.

The PSNI said the armed robber made off with money from the till.

However, no-one was injured but the workers were left shaken by the incident.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about the hold-up to get in touch.
