A man has been charged after police seized cannabis worth £510,000 at Larne Harbour

The 37-year-old is accused of two class B drug offences as well as possessing an offensive weapon.

A lorry was stopped and searched at the harbour at about 7.10 pm on Tuesday.

Police, working with Border Force and HMRC officers, seized the drug.

The man is due to appear at Ballymena Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday, March 11.
