DETECTIVES have charged two men, both aged 20, with the attempted murder of man who was viciously stabbed in lower Ormeau Road area of south Belfast.

They are due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Monday 12 June.

A third man, aged 21, has been charged with assault on police, criminal damage and disorderly behaviour.

He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Friday 7 July.

As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.

The charges follow an assault in the Hatfield Street area of south Belfast yesterday morning, Saturday, June 10.

During the attack a man in his 20s was stabbed and three men were arrested.
