DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses after a woman was brutally raped in the early hours of this morning, Saturday, October 17.
Police say a female, aged in her 20’s, was walking along High Street in Bangor shortly before 2 am when she was offered a lift home by two unknown males.
She walked into Holburn Avenue Car Park and got into the rear seat of the car.
The car is described as a 3 door, Silver car, possibly a VW Golf.
It had plain black fabric seat covers and a “black ice” magic tree hanging from the rear view mirror.
The internal panel of the passengers’ door was missing. The car had been seen driving around Bangor playing loud music last night.
They drove out of the car park and travelled towards Groomsport. The males stopped the car in a dark area where the victim was sexually assaulted.
The male passenger is described as being approximately 5’4” tall, of large build, with a round face and brown coloured messy hair.
The driver is described as being of thin build, with a skinhead type haircut and scruffy ginger coloured beard.
Detectives from the PSNI’s Rape Crime Unit are appealing for anyone who witnessed the assault or anyone who was in the Bangor area last night and who saw two makes in a silver coloured car to contact them at Ladas Drive on the non-emergency number 101.
