DETECTIVES have arrested a 27-year-old woman on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing.
Police say a man was stabbed during the incident which happened in the Sandy Street area of Newry.
It was reported in the early hours of Sunday.
The man was originally taken to Daisy Hill Hospital in Newry, but has since been transferred to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.
Newry and Armagh MLA Dominic Bradley said “any level of knife crime is unacceptable” and that his thoughts were with the injured man.
