POLICE say the security in Sunnyside Street Maghera has now ended.

Inspector Sam Shearer said: “The street has re-opened and residents have been allowed back to their homes.

“ATO examined a suspicious object and have declared it a hoax.

“I would appeal to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information about this incident to contact police in Magherafelt on 101.”
