Detectives from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force have charged a 33 year old man with possession of a prohibited weapon.

He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, September 1.

As is normal procedure all charges are to be reviewed by the PPS.

The charge follows the arrest of a man in west Belfast after a stun gun type weapon was intercepted by Border Force officers.
