TWO TEENS ARRESTED OVER ASSAULT ON MALE IN NORTH BELFAST

TWO males aged 18 and 16 years old have been arrested following an incident in the North Queen Street area of Belfast on Monday, July 13

Detective Sergeant Moore said: “Shortly after 1:45 am, it was reported that a 17 year old male was walking in the area when he was assaulted by four males.

“The male received injuries to his face, arms and back as he was punched, kicked and struck by metal bars during the incident.

“The male had his mobile phone stolen following the assault.

“The male, whose injuries are not believed to be serious, was left badly shaken following the incident.

“The males, who were arrested on suspicion of robbery have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

“Enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone  who witnessed the incident to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 221 13/07/20.
