DETECTIVES have charged a 31 year old man with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 21 for a first remand hearing

As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the PPS.

The charges are in relation to a stabbing incident in the Spamount Street area of north Belfast on Saturday, October 19.
