POLICE PROBE LAUNCHED AFTER TWO VANS BROKEN INTO IN WEST BELFAST

THE PSNI are appealing for information following a report of theft in the Falls Road area of west Belfast at the weekend.

Inspector Natalie McNally said: “Yesterday, Sunday, July 14, at approximately 6:50 am, it was reported that two vehicles parked at premises had been damaged and broken into sometime overnight.

“A window of a white Citroen Relay van had been smashed and a tool box that was inside the vehicle was taken.

“A window of a blue Ford Transit van was also smashed and documents inside rummaged through.

“It has not been established if anything was stolen from inside the blue van.

“I want to appeal to anyone who was in the area on Saturday night/Sunday morning and saw any suspicious activity, or who is offered a tool box for sale in suspicious circumstances, to call us on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 489 of 14/07/19.”

Alternatively information can also be provided by calling the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
