A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after she was struck by a car this morning, Sunday, May 5.

The incident happened on Comber Road, Newtownards.

The collision occurred at around 7.30 am.

It’s understood a dog was also injured.

The PSNI say the road is closed at present.
