DETECTIVES are investigating an armed robbery at commercial premises on the Woodstock Road in east Belfast yesterday evening, Saturday 16 February.
Police received a report that at around 8.20pm a man had entered a shop armed with a pair of scissors.
He threatened a customer with the scissors and demanded money from staff.
He made off with a sum of cash from the till. He is described as being aged in his late 20s or early 30s, approximately 5’8” tall and of slim build.
The robber was wearing a blue hooded top and grey track bottoms and had a black scarf covering his face.
The suspect was reported to have been in the company of a pregnant female earlier in the evening.
She is described as being approximately 5’4” tall with blonde hair tied back. She was wearing a cream coloured coat and pink scarf.
Detective Sergeant McCallum is appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and who saw a man matching the description of the suspect, or anyone who knows anything about the incident to contact detectives in Musgrave on 101, quoting reference number 1296 16/02/19.
