FOUR PEOPLE TO FACE COURT AFTER POLICE SMASH WEST BELFAST DRUG DEALING RACKET

Four people to face Belfast Magistrates’ Court over police operation against Class A drug dealing racket in west Belfast

DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Organised Crime Branch have charged four people after disrupting a Class A drug dealing operation in west Belfast.

It follows an intelligence-led operation by detectives in drug dealing in the west of the city.

The suspects are:

  • a 42 year old man charged with Possession of Class A controlled drug; possession of class A controlled drug with intent to supply; Conspiracy to supply class A controlled drug; possession of criminal property and concealing criminal property
  • 42 year old woman  charged with conspiracy to possess class A controlled drug with intent to supply and possession of criminal property
  • 40 year old man charged with possession of Class A controlled drug x 2; Possession of class A controlled drug with intent to supply x 2
  • 44 year old man with possession of class A controlled drug; possession of class A controlled drug with intent to supply and possession of criminal property

All four are due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ court tomorrow, Saturday, 13 October.

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.

Three females aged 17, 33 and 44 have been released on bail pending further police enquiries.

The charges are in connection with searches in the west Belfast on Thursday, October 11, when a large quantity of suspected Class A drugs were seized.

A sum of cash and a number of other high value items were recovered.
