MAN TO FACE COURT OVER £100,000 EAST BELFAST DRUG BUST

A 37 year old man has been charged to court over a massive drugs bust in east Belfast.

He has been charged with possession of a class A controlled drug, possession of a class B controlled drug, possession of a class C controlled drug, possessing a class A controlled drug with intent to supply, possessing a class B controlled drug with intent to supply, possessing a class C controlled drug with intent to supply and producing a class B controlled drug.

He is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court later this morning, Friday, April 6.

The charges  are in connection with the seizure of drugs with an estimated street value in excess of £100,000 in east Belfast yesterday, Thursday 05 April.

Suspected amphetamine base was discovered along with several thousand tablets and a quantity of suspected cocaine, during a search by specialist officers from the Belfast District Support Team at an address off the Ravenhill Road.

A large sum of cash was also found.
