DETECTIVES investigating the heroin-induced death of a man have charged a 32 year old male with possession of a Class A controlled drug, namely heroin.
He is due to appear at Newry Magistrates’ Court his morning, Friday, January 19 for a first remand hearing.
Two men, aged 34 & 46, have been charged with Possession of a Class A controlled drug, namely heroin, and are expected to appear at Newry MC on 14 February.
A 50 year old woman has been charged with Permitting Premises to be used for supply of Class A drugs.
She is expected to appear in court on 14 February.
As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
A 56 year old man has been released unconditionally.
The charges follow a property search in Newry on 17 January and the subsequent arrests of five people.
On Thursday, a 32-year-old man was remanded in custody charged with the manslaughter of a 56-year-old heroin addict.
