A 22 year old man has been charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.

He is expected to appear at Belfast Magistrates court this morning, Saturday 24 June.

As is usual procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.

The charges relate to a robbery at a shop on Ardoyne Road in north Belfast on 18 June.

A second 22 year old male was also charged with robbery and appeared in court previously in relation to the same incident.
