MURDER BID PROBE LAUNCHED AFTER THREE MEN STABBED IN NORTH BELFAST

Police sceneDETECTIVES are investigating after three men were stabbed in north Belfast early this morning.

It is understood the victims were attacked close to a block of flats in the Limestone Road area early this morning.

One man was subsequently detained for attempted murder, grievous bodily harm with intent, common assault and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

The PSNI have sealed off a number of streets as forensics experts examine the scene.

A number of knives have been removed for forensic tests.

A PSNI spokesman said: “Police have arrested a man in his 30s following a stabbing incident which occurred in a property in the Limestone Road area of Belfast at approximately 6.30am this morning.

“Three men received stab wounds in this incident.

“They have been taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries.”

Detective Sergeant Natalie McNally appealed to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information about it to contact them at Reactive and Organised Crime at Musgrave PSNI Station on the non-emergency number 101.
