TWO ARRESTED AFTER STAB BRAWL OUTSIDE WEST BELFAST UNDERTAKERS

police crime scene pic 1DETECTIVES have arrested two men over a brawl outside a west Belfast funeral parlour yesterday.

Police and the emergency services were called to the Falls Road in West Belfast at around 4.40 pm on Wednesday following reports of a large group of men fighting.

Two men were stabbed during the brawl.

They were taken to the nearby Royal Victoria Hosptial where they were treated for stab injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

In a statement, the PSNI said: “Detectives investigating the serious public disorder on the Falls Road have today arrested a man aged 24 on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.

“A 33 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

“Both men are currently in custody assisting officers with their enquiries.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Natalie McNally continues to appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and who may have information which may be of assistance to police, to contact detectives at Musgrave on 101.
