THREE MEN TO FACE COURT OVER ILLEGAL PRESCRIPTION DRUG RACKET

Laganside Court houseDETECTIVES investigating the illegal acquisition and supply of prescription drugs into Northern Ireland have charged three men.

The 21-year-old has also been charged with possession of a firearm in suspicious circumstances.

A third man, aged 22, also arrested on Thursday, has been charged with drugs supply and money laundering offences.

They are all expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court this morning.

On Friday, a 45-year-old woman appeared in court charged with conspiracy to supply class C drugs.

Kelly Clarke, of Ardoyne Road in Belfast, also faced a charge of being concerned in the supply of diazepam between 1 August last year and 16 April this year.

She was granted bail.
