DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Organised Crime Branch have charged another man over a £1m plus ‘skunk’ cannabis haul.

The 37 year old man was arrested on the evening  of Wednesday 25 March by police in Birmingham in relation to an international investigation into the illegal supply of ‘skunk’ cannabis into Northern Ireland has been.

He has been charged with numerous offences to do with drug trafficking and money laundering.

He is due to appear at Newtownards Magistrates Court tomorrow morning, Saturday 28th March for a first remand hearing.

As is normal procedure, all charges are reviewed by the PPS.

Earlier this week four Chinese men were charged with drug offences as part of the probe that stretched all the way to Italy.
