DETECTIVES investigating an armed robbery in north Belfast last week have charged a man.

The 40-year-old man was detained yesterday  in the south Belfast area.

He was quizzed about an armed robbery in the Oldpark Road area of Belfast on Friday 7 November.

Detective Constable Conor Sweeney said: “He has been charged with robbery and possession of a firearm with intent.

“He will appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court later today.”
