POLICE WARNING TO HOUSEHOLDERS AFTER BURGLARIES IN SOUTH BELFAST

musgrave psniTHE PSNI is yet again advising householders to local windows and doors to keep out thieves.

It follows a number of burglaries in the Holylands district of south Belfast.

On Tuesday, at around 12:57am police received a report of a burglary in a property in the University Avenue area where 2 laptops had been taken.

Then at 1:55 am this morning Wednesday 26th November we received a report of a burglary in the Fitzroy Avenue area where a laptop, a phone, a tablet and other electrical items had been stolen.

A spokesperson said: “The property-owner in Fitzroy described the males as in their 30’s, one had a fresh cut on his forehead and was wearing dark clothing and the other one was wearing a white jacket with blue stripes down the sleeves.

“Please lock and secure all windows and doors in your house to help prevent burglaries from happening to you.

“If anyone has any information please contact us on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
