POLICE have launched an investigation after an 81-year-old woman was knocked down and killed today.
The accident happened in Magherafelt in Co Derry.
Local woman Rhoda Kearney was knocked down in Broad Street by a Volvo articulated lorry just after midday.
Officers from the PSNI’s Collision investigation Unit based at Steeple barracks has appealed for witnesses who were in the area to contact them on the non-emergency 101 number.
