A car stolen last month has been recovered by police.

The black Toyota Avensis was taken in a creeper burglary at a house at Deanfield (off Limavady Road) in the Waterside area of Londonderry on 6 July.

It was located at Elaghmore Park in the Galliagh area on Wednesday evening last.

The car was taken after thieves gained entry to the house and stole the keys.

Reports indicated that it had been seen in the Ebrington area shortly before 2.00am that morning.

A PSNI spokesperson asked anyone who saw the car, which has an EKZ registration, being used or parked up, to call the detectives at Strand Road on the 101 non-emergency telephone number.
