MAN AND CHILD CHEAT INJURY IN GUN ATTACK ON NORTH BELFAST HOME

Police scene armed copDETECTIVES are appealing for information following a shooting incident in the Westland Way area of Belfast last night.

Police say two shots were fired at the house shortly before midnight.

A man and child were at home and escaped uninjured.

Detective Chief Inspector Gary Reid said – “At approximately 11.50pm the male occupant of a house heard two shots.

“On going to the front door of his house he noticed two strike marks.

“No one was injured during this incident.

“Police would ask anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact Detectives at Tennent Street on the non emergency number 101.

“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
