WOMAN ASSAULTED BY CYCLIST IN NORTH BELFAST

PSNIPOLICE in North Belfast are appealing for information following the report of an assault in the Donegall Park Avenue area of Belfast on the evening of Tuesday, 29th July.

It is reported that at approximately 9.50pm, a male riding a bicycle assaulted a 26 year old female as he cycled passed her.

He then dismounted off his bicycle and lunged towards the female and attempted to grab her before making off.

The male has been described as wearing a grey hooded top, 3/4 length grey trousers and dark trainers.

Police are appealing for information and are especially keen to speak to a passing motorist who kindly stopped and gave the woman a lift home.

They would also ask anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact them at Tennent Street station and on the non-emergency number, 101.
