WEST BELFAST SHOP ROBBERY BID PROBE

Woodbourne PSNI stationDETECTIVES in west Belfast are appealing for information following an attempted robbery in the Glen Road last Friday night, July 11.

It is reported that at approximately 8:20pm, an unknown male entered a commercial premises.

He threatened a member of staff behind the counter with a knife and smashed a display and a bottle before demanded money.

Staff refused him and he ran out of the premises.

An ambulance crew treated a member of staff at the scene for shock.

Detectives would ask anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact them on the non-emergency number, 101.
