KNIFE-WIELDING TEEN HELD OVER NORTH BELFAST STREET ROBBERY

PSNIA youth is in PSNI custody as part of a probe into a street robbery in north Belfast. 

Police received a report on the afternoon of Tuesday, 15th July of a 21 year old man in the Elmgrove Street area having been threatened by an unknown male.

The youth was said to have brandishing what is thought to have been a kitchen knife and then making off with the man’s mobile phone.

Officers armed with descriptions of the alleged offender, police arrested a 16 year old male on suspicion of Robbery

The youth is currently helping police with their inquiries.
