POLICE PROBE THEFT OF CASH FROM ATM

Newry ATM blastDETECTIVES are appealing for information following the theft of a sum of cash from an ATM machine.

It happened in the Victoria Street area of Keady, Co Armagh in the early hours of this morning..

At arou 2.45am police recieved a report of a loud bang in the area of the ATM machine.

As a result ATO were tasked to the scene and a number of homes in the area were evacuated.

Damage was caused to the door and front panel of the ATM machine and a quantity of cash was stolen.

There was no damage caused to any other property.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have noticed any persons or vehicles acting suspiciously in the area between 1.00am and 2.45am to contact them in Armagh on the 101 non-emergency number.
